It's okay

Was loving this lead, but hadn't read the review saying the clips can be undone by twisting on one another. I have 3 dogs, 2 perfectly behaved and a recent rescue, who is well behaved but very nervous. 3leads was not working, with poo bags, ball throwers etc so I used this happily for a few days..... Then it got twisted and a lead came loose on a busy road at rush hour.... Luckily it wasn't my nervous dogs and I just calmly said my other dogs name, he stopped and I re attached him! Phew, I dread to think how it could have panned out. I came home and twisted ties around the clips so they can't physically open. I don't alway use all 3 but it easy enough the attach that clip to the handle so it is out of the way. I really believe to be safe this should be rings and not clips. Also I had to sew the handle over the lead as it was far too long!

Pleased with it

These surpassed my expectations. It was so much easier walking 3 dogs with this lead rather than 3 separate leads. Definitely worth trying.

So far, so good

Yes good product , swivels perfectly so dogs don’t get tied up .

A few caveats

Heavy for small dogs. Lots of good features, though. Every part of this leash seems robust. The divided part is long enough for the dogs to have some space and reduces tangling. Each divided part clips on and off the centre ring, which would be handy to convert this lead to handle one dog or two instead of three. Th dogs don't seem bothered by the weight, but I use it for my bigger three dogs, and use a lighter three-way lead for the smaller three dogs. It's certainly handy when I take multiple dogs to the vet at one time, significantly easier than handling three separate leashes.

A mixed bag

This is really good quality unfortunately the clips have opened three times and one of the dogs has got free. I have looked and checked them seem ok but just cannot take the risk. Still using my old one

Disappointed

I bought this to walk three dogs at once, as I already use a two-dog lead with a swivel/twist connector at the top which works perfectly. When the dogs cross over or move around each other, the connector rotates and prevents the leads from tangling. Unfortunately this three-dog version doesn’t seem to have a proper swivel mechanism, and within five minutes of walking the dogs the leads were completely tangled. Unless your dogs walk perfectly in the same direction the entire time and never cross over each other (which, realistically, dogs do all the time), this lead just doesn’t work in practice. For actual dog walking where dogs move naturally, this design is pretty much useless. A proper rotating swivel at the top would fix the issue, but without it the leads constantly twist and knot. Really disappointing

Good in parts

Have three toy dogs, so thought I would try a multi lead. Well made, nice length. Clips are sturdy. However, my dogs did not like being linked together, so back to single leads for them.

A few caveats

Bought this when we increased our dogs from two to three. The two were used to walking on a duo joint lead (similar size dogs). The third additional dog was of similar size so we bought the this three lead. Having tried beforehand walking two on the duo and one new dog on a single lead, it was a bit chaotic with a new untrained dog (rescue). However, having the trio lead meant the third new dog learnt quickly to keep in line and how to avoid peeing on the other dogs. The downside was the new untrained dog was initially rushing around the other two dogs in the early stages of using this lead and there were a few occasions where this forced the clip to undo on the other two dogs to suddenly undo (only one dog at a time, not both). The good thing was these dogs are trained and would stop instantly I told them but anyone with a new, untrained or unfamiliar dog and their clip came undone, the dog would be in danger. The new dog however, never ever came undone from this trio lead, so perhaps him pulling a bit intially stopped that? It seems to me the clips that come undone are pushed against by the other twisted leads or when a dog is rushing around and not walking in a line. We only use this lead in the Summer, so will probably have to retrain the newer dog to use it again when that time of year comes around, but this time I will attach a thin or small 2nd safety lead in case he comes loose, if I'm still unsure of his recall. However, that said, I will still use this lead and would buy it again, as the bonus of this lead was when the dogs became tangled (only really early on, but it can happen now and then) you could just undo one lead at either end and untangle from there. So pro's and con's but mostly a pro if you know your dogs or can add a secondary safety device if you have one dog you are unsure of being able to keep under control

Some good, some bad

Great anti tangle lead for two dogs, but when I use it on my 3 Cavapoos it doesn't take them too long to tangle the 3 leads into a mess.

Good in parts

So we have three small rescue dogs each one probably weighs about 18 pounds. I have been using three leashes at one time and there's been a lot of tangling, but sometimes they end up at the end of the compound leash and I can keep control. Once I got this leash that has the three separate leashes on it I found that it was easier for me to maintain it because I am in my mid 70s and I would like to not trip on the dogs. I like the lightweight aspect of it, but it seems very strong. I have taken them out for a walk, a couple of times and my newest Rescue is not yet comfortable walking with a group and she sometimes gets the leash tangled. I don't blame the leash because I think it's her movement compounded by the Lead dog movement. I'm pretty happy with the leash as it is and it's easy to take off one section if you only have two dogs walking, etc. I think it's a pretty good value for the price easy to clean and it's definitely much easier than holding three heavy leashes in my hand and trying to manage the three dogs.

Happy with this

I have 3 little dogs, and used to have 3 different leashes for each other, now I changed to this, it makes me hassle free to walk them.

Happy to recommend

Brilliant. This makes taking 3 dogs out on your own so easy. I was always getting tangled up in the leads previously. You can alter each individual leads length to desired length. Clasps are very sturdy and stitching reflective. Cannot fault, would definitely recommend.

It's comfortable in the hand and nice and strong. The clips do tangle but because they are all clipped separately you can unclip and reclip easily.

A few caveats

I love this leash. I have three dogs, and walking three dogs is not an easy task. This makes it a bit easier. No leash limbo trying to untangle myself from leashes while still waking. The dogs can still get get themselvea tangled but it's a simple matter of unhooking one of the short leashes and untwisting the other two before hooking them back on. Being able to unhook was each extended leash is nice, because sometimes you won't be walking all three dogs, and I suppose you can add more. One of the dogs DID manage to unhook themselves -- it looks like a fluke having to do with being tangled. You can also adjust the length of each extending leash, which means if you have one dog that must be in the lead you can do that. I'd like it to be a bit longer but at a fully extended length of 6ft it's still a good length. Honestly walks have gotten so much easier. Fully recommend it.

With three puppies that all run off in different directions, it's a bit of a struggle, but the lead can't be blamed for that ;-) The lead is great because nothing gets tangled, the length is also fine and the delivery was quick.

Good value.

Good to know

Can I walk two dogs with it?

Yes. One loop handle splits into two separate leads, one for each dog.

Does it have swivel fittings?

Yes, at the junction and at each hook. We do not promise the leads will never cross.

Can I set the length of each lead?

Yes, each lead has its own slider to set its length.

Is it suitable for large or strong dogs?

Size and strength limits are not stated. Check the lead suits your dogs before heading out.
