One shape, several positions
Some cats stretch up a vertical post, some flatten out and rake horizontally, some want an angle in between. A concertina of cardboard bends into all three, so you can try positions in the same corner instead of buying a second scratcher.
Cats do not all scratch the same way
Ready in three simple steps
Take it out of the bag and pull it into the shape you want.
Next to the sofa corner or the door frame they use, not across the room.
It presses back flat.

Good to know
Will it hold its shape?
It stays in whichever fold you set it in. Cardboard scratchers are meant to shred over time — that is the surface doing its job rather than wearing out.
Can the bell come out?
It is threaded through the fold, so it lifts out if you would rather it were silent.
Does it leave bits on the floor?
Cardboard scratchers do shed flakes where they are used. A mat underneath, or a shake outdoors every week or two, keeps it tidy.
How big is it?
About 11 × 10 × 7 cm folded, and it opens out from there. It is a compact scratcher rather than a full-length post.
Vertical or horizontal?
Both — that is the point of the fold. Try it flat first; most cats show you within a day which way they prefer.
