  • A pair — left and right, both in the pack
  • Five separate fingers, so you can groom around ears and legs
  • 180 soft rubber tips lift loose hair as you stroke
  • Breathable mesh back with an adjustable wrist strap
  • The fur peels off in one sheet, then rinse and go

Some pets tolerate a brush. Most of them like being stroked.

That is the whole idea. Put the glove on, groom the way you would normally fuss over them, and the loose hair comes away on your hand instead of staying in the coat. No stiff brush, no cornering the cat, no wrestling.

Key features

  • A pair, not a single glove — left and right, both in the pack, so you can work with both hands or hand one to whoever else is helping. These are often sold singly, and you have to pick a hand.
  • Five separate fingers — each finger works on its own, so you can groom around ears, legs and the top of the head rather than only the flat of the flank.
  • 180 soft rubber tips — enough contact to lift the loose hair, soft enough that it reads as stroking rather than scraping. A metal slicker has sharp teeth; these tips do not.
  • Breathable mesh back — the back of the glove is open mesh, so your hand stays comfortable through a long session rather than sweating inside rubber.
  • Velcro wrist strap — adjusts to your wrist and stays put mid-stroke, so the glove does not slide off halfway down a flank.
  • One size, 23.2 × 17.2 cm — fits over most adult hands, and works on cats and dogs.

Lifting the fur off

The hair gathers on the tips as a single mat — peel it off in one piece with your other hand and carry on. When you are done, rinse the glove under the tap and let it dry.

Care note

Work in the direction the coat grows, with the pressure you would use to stroke them — no more. Avoid bony areas and any broken skin. If the coat is matted rather than shedding, deal with the mats first; a grooming glove is not a de-matting tool.

Grooming that feels like being stroked

Most pets tolerate a brush. Nearly all of them like being stroked. These gloves make the two the same thing — you fuss over them the way you already do, and the loose hair comes away on your hand instead of staying in the coat.

Five-Finger Grooming Gloves — grooming a cat

A pair, so both hands are working

A pair, not a single glove Left and right, both in the pack, so you can work with both hands or hand one to whoever is helping. These are often sold singly, and you have to pick a hand.
Five separate fingers Each finger works on its own, so you can groom around ears, legs and the top of the head rather than only the flat of the flank. 180 soft rubber tips lift the loose hair as you stroke.
Comfortable for a long session The back is open mesh so your hand does not sweat inside rubber, and a Velcro strap keeps the glove from sliding mid-stroke. One size, 23.2 × 17.2 cm.

Ready in three simple steps

1
Put them on

Adjust the wrist straps so the gloves sit close to your hands.

2
Stroke, do not scrub

Work in the direction the coat grows, with the pressure you would use to stroke them.

3
Peel the fur off

It gathers on the tips as a single mat — lift it away in one piece, then rinse the gloves under the tap when you are done.

A very good product, better than several pet brushes.

Works well!

Works surprisingly well. How easy it is to remove the hair from the glove, depends on the length of the hair.

Works surprisingly well on my orange cat

Very useful for removing excess pet fur, although the black fabric feels a little fragile.

Works well!

A glove that works well. Check the right and left hand options carefully if you want a pair.

My cat loves it!

My cat will not tolerate a normal brush, but accepts this glove more readily. It does not remove as much fur at once, but I can groom him gradually.

A fun cat toy

They remove my Birman cat’s fur better than any metal brush, without scratching him.

My cat loves it!

I found this to be the best grooming tool for my cats I've tried them all. I sometimes spray a little water on the gloves to help the hair come off a little easier especially when the air is so dry

Good to know

Do I get one glove or two?

Two — a left and a right, both in the pack. Most sellers ship a single glove and ask you to choose a hand.

Will my cat put up with it?

That is the point of the design. It feels like being stroked rather than brushed, so cats that fight a slicker brush will usually accept this.

Is it safe on a short coat?

Yes. The tips are soft rubber, so there is nothing sharp to catch. Keep the pressure light and avoid bony areas and any broken skin.

How do I get the fur off the glove?

It collects on the tips as a single mat — peel it off in one piece with your other hand, then carry on. Rinse the gloves under the tap when you are finished.

Can I use it on a matted coat?

Work the mats out first. A grooming glove lifts loose hair — it is not a de-matting tool.
