One-Press Self-Cleaning Comb

Everyone can brush. Nobody wants to clean the brush.

That is the part people quietly give up on — the comb fills, the fur wraps around the base, and picking it out with your fingers is worse than the brushing was. This one has a button. Press it, a plate rises through the pins, and the whole mat of fur lifts off in one piece.

• Self-cleaning in one press — the button on the handle pushes the collected fur clear of the pins so you can lift it away without touching the pins at all.
• Fine steel pins, rounded tips — closely spaced enough to reach the loose undercoat, rounded at the ends so they slide over skin instead of scratching it.

How to use it

Short strokes, in the direction the coat grows. When the pins fill, hold the comb over the bin, press the button, and drop the fur. Then carry on. Ten minutes twice a week during a moult beats one long session a month.

Care note

Rinse under running water and let it dry fully before it goes back in the drawer. Keep the pressure light — the pins are there to reach the loose undercoat, not to scrape skin. If the coat is matted rather than shedding, work the mats out first; this is a deshedding comb, not a de-matting tool.
